SCROLL DOWN

BURKE & ALLEN

BURKE & ALLEN

BURKE & ALLEN is the umbrella brand for all the bonkers, bananas, and brilliant work created by gals-about-town Amy Burke and Geri Allen. That's us of course. We aren't yet fancy enough to pay other people to manage our web presence. SOME DAY, though. Some day.

80s Amy.jpg

Amy Burke

Amy Burke has dabbled in many things: rodeo clown; agony aunt for the Cheboygan Times-Picayune; sommelier: she also acts, sings, and can stick out her tongue and touch her nose. She's American and a natural blonde.

80s Geri.jpg

Geri Allen

Geri Allen sprang fully-formed from her mother's forehead with an accordion in her hands and a kazoo in her mouth. It has been said that she is the greatest comic mind of her generation (though it should be noted that it was her sister who said that).

Bebe+Luna Present...The Cabaret Farce (main EdFringe2015 poster image, no venue overlay, design by DeskTidyDesign).jpg

bebe+Luna Present...The Cabaret Farce!

Bebe van der Belt (a glamorous American) and Miss Luna Peach (a cheeky Brit) conspire to host the most divinely decadent evening anyone has ever seen. However, the ladies are perhaps not the consummate hosts they believe themselves to be, and everything spirals into spectacular pandemonium, chaos and catastrophe! Come for the songs; stay for the shenanigans.

Featuring a live band, lashings of sequins, an accordion and - of course - a kazoo. (There will also be a drinking game or two.) Join Bebe+Luna for a ravishing night of raucous delight!

★★★★ "Bebe+Luna take to the stage to dazzle the unsuspecting audience, with big laughs and even bigger musical numbers" - ThreeWeeks Edinburgh

"The Cabaret Farce is packed with genial, slapstick comedy bolstered by powerhouse vocals and an even stronger three-piece jazz band... It is big on comedy, but the foundation is the solid band and two leading ladies who seriously know how to sell a number" - Paul Vale, The Stage

BURKE & ALLEN: THE COMEDY SHOW WEBSERIES

WELCOME TO THE BURKE & ALLEN COMEDY SHOW: where we use capital letters to denote excitement! And also exclamation marks! And most importantly, we never let facts get in the way of a good story.

Each week, Amy and Geri address the MOST pressing topics: those issues that are on everyone's mind from when they rise in the morning to when they pull the covers over their head and double tap on Instagram until they finally fall unconscious. HOW do these intrepid women know which issues are most pressing, you may find yourself silently shouting? Well first and foremost, they do all the most essential research: careful perusal of the Metro and Evening Standard while face-planting into the glass partition of an over-crowded Central Line train; surreptitiously reading this week's copy of HELLO magazine while queuing to buy cheese at Sainsbury's; dutifully checking BBC news alerts before going back to Snapchatting pictures of cats with funny filters (the snap Geri sent of her cat vomiting rainbows is THE BEST). What we're saying is the standard of research is exemplary and the methods are exhaustive. This is a ~very serious~ comedy web series. Seriously. So join us, won't you? We promise it'll be absurd.

ONE FOR MY BABY...

Bebe and Luna, battling it out in song. But then Luna pulls out her trump card, her ace-in-the-hole: THE KAZOO. Pour yourself a few fingers of whisky and join the girls on this weird-but-wonderful journey...where are they? Why are they? We don't know. But: DOES IT REALLY MATTER?
